How Luna came into our lives
Luna came into our life on my 22nd birthday. We’d gone to visit my sister and brother-in-law and meet their new puppy. We loved and adored her so much, we wanted to find out if there were others left. We called the woman who had the litter, and she had Luna and a boy left, and wanted to keep the boy. We went to see her and instantly fell in love with her sweet face, velvet fur and loving personality. We knew she was the perfect dog for us.
What was Luna like as a pet?
Luna was obsessed with babies and small children, and loved every human she ever met. She was feisty with other dogs, as she had a very dominant personality, but always very gentle with our cats and chickens. She loved to go for car rides, go for walks or runs, chase squirrels, eat vanilla ice cream and all the scraps the kids dropped on the floor. She didn’t love to be cuddled too much but appreciated head or chest rubs the most. She was a constant comfort to us all.
Our favorite memory with Luna
Going for car rides, she would stand on the middle console and lean against my shoulder and avidly watch the road and everything we passed by. She was an amazing copilot. She also watched movies or television and barked at animals, even cartoon ones, as if they were going to jump out of the screen. She loved cuddling with the kids and sleeping on their beds the most.
What were Luna's favorite activities?
She enjoyed car rides, walks and runs, pulling us if we were on the scooter, eating everything in sight, doing tricks and getting treats. Watching out the window and laying in the sun on hot days were her favorite things to do by far. She was a total heat seeker.
Final words for Luna
We will miss you forever, love you always, and hope to see and hug you again someday in the future. You were the sweetest, gentlest, velvetiest dog in the world, and we will miss you so much.
